P8666 is a collaborative project between Avant and Jensen International Automotive (JIA). Avant's first involvement can be seen in concept images originally released to the press back in 2011 - it was from these designs that the P8666 project was born.

The project formally started in 2013 with design development work exploring the famous luxury GT's DNA and how this may be realised in a 21st-century product married with state-of-the-art environmental powertrain technology, technology which David Duerden of JIA was developing.

As with many of our design projects, we believe the best way to achieve the ultimate design is to be hands-on; this project was no exception. The final 2D design created by Avant was then translated into a full-size clay model. Avant was responsible for every aspect of this model, from the early armature design, clay preparation through to clay development, and final model presentation dress, over six months P8666 was hand-crafted solely by Avant ensuring that the vision and passion for the original car were captured in the design.

In order to show the commitment of Avant and JIA, both companies believed that self-investment in the project via the creation of a physical design model moved the offering to a higher level than simply creating 2D renderings. Ultimately, this would build confidence in the opportunity and enable interested parties to physically see and touch the product at a very early stage.

P8666 as a project has, up to this point, been kept out of the public eye. However, recent press releases of the model have resulted in the wider public's appreciation of its design and appropriateness to the brand’s history. As with any programme, design is always seeking to stay ahead and P8666 has undergone further development in recent months to ensure it retains its iconic looks while fitting with the very latest automotive trends.

The P8666 project is supported by a fully costed business plan which offers potential investors a unique opportunity to become a major part of a highly bespoke car company.
