The Azure was conceived as a creative design study to demonstrate Avant’s capabilities in all aspects of design. It gave an opportunity for our team to think beyond the automotive sector and about the future of mobility and transport design. A new emerging market of eVTOL transport led us to explore what the future of luxury, inter-city transport experience could look like over the coming decade

It was important that we approached this proactive study as would with any client project therefore we began the process by conducting a short research study, gathering inspiration around the brief. 'Azure' is a rich blue and was our creative starting point; From this, we made a connection with the vast uninterrupted blue of the ocean. The contrasts between sea and sky were ultimately what Inspired Azure's sealife design characters, with an emphasis on Orcas. During this project, we also carried out some colour, material, and finish exercises, In order to truly convey the Luxury feel of Azure.

Branding
As we wanted to showcase the full breadth of capabilities, we developed a whole brand around the eVTOL. Our creative team crafted a luxury brand aesthetic to work alongside the design of the aircraft. The key was a look of simplicity and sophistication, which would appeal to the target customer.
